Get answers to common questions about Double Bleach & Tone.
Appointments vary by hair length, density, and condition; typically Double Bleach & Tone takes 3 to 4 hours. We include consultation, two lightening passes, bond treatments, toner application, and post-service care to ensure health and desired lift.
We assess hair thoroughly in consultation; if compromised we may recommend restorative treatments before double bleaching. When appropriate, we use gentler developers, bond builders, and staged lifts to reduce risk while achieving targeted blonde levels.
This service is meant for more than two inches of regrowth or virgin hair seeking high lift. During consultation we confirm suitability based on previous color, hair strength, and desired end level.
Double bleaching is more intensive but performed with care; bond-repair products and professional technique greatly reduce harm. Single bleach may be gentler but often cannot achieve the same level of lift or evenness for high blondes.
Arrive with unwashed hair if possible, avoid at-home chemical services for several weeks, and bring inspiration photos. We'll review history and assess strength so we can tailor lifts and protective treatments for optimal results.
Touch-up timing depends on your natural regrowth and maintenance plan; typically roots need refresh every 6 to 10 weeks, while toners and purple shampoos prolong color between salon visits and at-home treatments.
