I've been getting my hair cut for, well, decades, and as time goes on, the curls/waves have devolved into frizz. Every stylist I've ever seen has trimmed off some length, blown my hair dry, and sent me out with straight shiny hair...that lasts a few hours.

Rayna is the first stylist who has ever looked at my hair and asked "what does it want to do?" She saw which way the waves were trying to wave and gave me a cut that works with my hair instead of against it. She manages to put blonde highlights in my dark hair that never turn bronze, that look natural, and that get complimented by other stylists. Rayna is a legend and has been taking care of my extra long thick layers for about 3 years now. She recently color corrected all of the box dye I used over the pandemic out of my 20lbs of hair and let me tell you... AMAZING. I did not think it was possible to get all of the oxidized red tones out of my dark brown hair in one day. It is now a much more natural dirty blonde that feels grown up, softer, goes better with my skin tone, and the application is beautiful. I used to only color my hair with my hometown stylist because I've had so many disaster stories at Beverly Hills salons in LA. My stylist at home didn't do a great job last time (somehow honey blonde ended up being more orange) so I figured I'd gamble with an LA stylist again.

I was terrified honestly. It would be a color correction/ balayage on my very curly crown (I'm African American with natural, unstraightened hair). I mean, most stylist can't handle one of those things at a time on my texture.

Thank goodness I found Rayna! *emoji praise hands*
I called around and another stylist recommended her which was a great sign.

As mentioned, because I have super curly hair, I have to really research my stylists beforehand. I saw these reviews and her IG page and was sold. Rayna didn't stop until I was a happy customer! She can do magic with all textures, yas kween!!

I've attached a photo of what I asked for (top photo) and how Rayna was able to duplicate that on my way-shorter-than-the-photo hair.

I saw Rayna first for baby lights, and she did such a great job that I had to come back. The next time around I did a cut and went a bit bolder with the baby lights, and I am super happy with the results! The colour looks very natural, not at all a manufactured blonde. My hair texture is curly, and she knew exactly the techniques for thinning so my hair wouldn’t get fluffy and doing subtle layers to give it a good overall shape. I used to try and wand curl my hair and have now been going natural, and the cut Rayna gave me helps the curls to behave so the natural curl looks great....more

I stumbled across Rayna’s salon online as I was searching for a hairdresser that was experienced. My hair was damaged from being bleached a few months prior to my visit, it had turned an awful brassy colour and was breaking out.
